COVID-19 RESPONSE INITIATIVE

To provide on the ground support to rural tribal and metropolitan intertribal communities throughout Northern CA in response to COVID-19, RJIP is developing emergency responses to address necessary support to system impacted native youth, emergency supplies for unsheltered native peoples, crucial responses & needed wellness support.

  • SYSTEM IMPACTED YOUTH that no longer have access to advocates/social service workers through this quarantine period. RJIP will assist with emergency support to system impacted Native youth, unable to access services due to shutdowns.

  • SINGLE PARENTS with food shortages as children are out of school during quarantine period. Unsheltered native peoples for support with sanitation supplies, food, and basic necessities -- RJIP will provide wellness care, and needed support for unsheltered/unhoused native peoples in rural tribal and intertribal metropolitan areas. 

  • ELDER SUPPORT with medication filing, food and basic supplies. RJIP will assist with essential food, supplies and community support to Native Elders & families throughout Northern CA.

  • SUPPORT TO NFR (non federally recognized), dis-enrolled and disenfranchised tribal communities unable to access emergency funding.
